Harrods shows one of the rarest diamond
James
The 228.31 carat gem is called the ‘Harrods Diamond’. It has been in the Knightsbridge store’s safe deposit until now.
It’s a pear-shaped diamond that has been graded by the Gemmological Institute of America (also known as GIA), as a colour G, which mean it is at the top of the near-colourless class and it has a clarity of VS1 which is very rare for a diamonds that is that big.
You can view the Harrods Diamond by appointment only, from mid-December.
